Operation RiseUp! Serving military families through sports and entertainment. Military families face unique challenges, especially when it comes to relocating frequently. This impacts not just the logistics of life—like enrolling in schools with varying curricula and graduation requirements—but also the social and emotional aspects. Parents struggle with questions like finding reliable babysitters or planning birthday parties in a community where they barely know anyone. Meanwhile, military children often miss out on continuity in friendships, school sports, and other activities, which can be deeply frustrating and isolating. Military children are sometimes referred to as the "invisible population" because, unlike their parents, they don’t wear uniforms. As a result, the emotional and psychological toll they bear can go unnoticed by their peers, teachers, and communities. They often feel the weight of their family’s service in ways that others can't fully grasp. Whether it’s the stress of a parent’s deployment or the uncertainty of making new friends after moving to a new school, these challenges can be tough to navigate. More Info coming soon!
